Formtech Composites was formed in 2008 when Formtech GmbH purchased the assets of the Super Aguri F1 Team based in Leafield, Oxfordshire.  A full list of our services are listed here.

Formtech Composites is based in the bespoke F1 facility located in Oxfordshire in the UK.  Formtech owns the IP of two Formula 1 teams, Arrows and Super Aguri. 

This allows us to quickly design, develop and manufacture bespoke solutions in both prototyping and short run production on site.  Formtech is also experienced at taking these prototypes and developing specialised processes for serial production.

Mark Preston runs Formtech in the UK and comes from a background of Formula One and automotive having worked Arrows Grand Prix, McLaren Racing (F1) and Super Aguri in positions such as Head of R&D and Technical Director.  Experience at General Motors and Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) and Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) in Australia gives Mark an overall view of the automotive sector.

The Formtech Group also consists of Formtech Advanced Materials which supplies high end products such as Titanium and Maraging Steels.

In combination with our machining facility in Germany we can provide a full service of design, development and manufacturing.  Experience in mould tools allows us to combine composites and mould technology to develop RTM and stamping of composites.
